A chaplet is a devotional prayer commonly prayed while holding beads helping the faithful keep track of where they are in prayer. This beautiful Stations of the Cross Chaplet is designed to be used while praying and meditating on the Passion of Christ, remembering the week of His crucifixion, death and resurrection. This devotional chaplet can be used year-round, but it is especially wonderful to use during the Lenten season as we reflect on Christ’s suffering which He endured for His love for us and for our salvation.
The station beads, beautifully vignetted scenes of Christ’s Passion, are die-cast and silver oxidized in Italy with amazing detail, and are tarnish resistant. On the back of each bead is the corresponding roman numeral. Between the crucifix and centerpiece and each station bead are gorgeous, faceted, fire-polished purple glass beads. The centerpiece and crucifix also feature exquisite detail and both are die-cast and silver oxidized in Italy, as well. The centerpiece is perfectly selected for this chaplet… featuring the Holy Face, an embossed image of Jesus based on the Shroud of Turin. Around the circumference, in Latin, are the words, “Illumina Domine vultum tuum super nos,” which translates to, “Lord shine the light of Thy countenance upon us.” The back side of the centerpiece features an image of the radiant Sacred Host with the Holy Name monogram, “IHS,” as well as another inscription, “Mane nobiscum Domine,” translating to, “Stay with us, O Lord.”
Through each bead, stainless steel wire is looped by hand and a closed jump ring links each bead keeping your devotional chaplet beads from kinking.
